MY APPROACH

Supportive. Empathetic. Strengths-based.

I believe that each person has their own story, strengths, and perspectives. I love to learn about your views and pay close attention to what you need from our sessions. My entire focus is on you. There is no judging, only compassion, empathy and understanding, as well as appreciation for the person you are. I want to provide a safe, neutral, confidential and comfortable space for you to explore what is important to you. I am there to help, support, provide tools and resources, gently challenge you and encourage you to reach for your goals.

For couples, I use the Gottman approach, tailored to each couple's specific needs.

My current credentials and registrations are listed below. I am continually adding to my knowledge and skills to better tailor techniques and approaches to each person/couple's needs.

  • Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), Charles Sturt University

  • Diploma of Counselling, Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC)

  • Registered Level 1 with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) #12694

  • Multiple ongoing learning in specific approaches and helpful strategies

  • Previous Lifeline In Shift Support Supervisor - volunteer

  • Previous Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter - volunteer
